Orange Shirt Day. Every Child Matters.
Thursday, September 30th from 1:00-2:30
The meeting point is the Municipal Parking lot on High Street behind Algonquin Theatre; alternatively, community members can meet at the gathering spot, River Mill Park 1:30 if you choose not to participate in the march.
Every Child Matters. Join us and thousands of others across Canada and wear an orange shirt on Thursday, September 30th. The event is in honour of the children who survived the Indian Residential Schools and remember those who didn’t. The Huntsville Public Library and The Town of Huntsville will host an Orange Shirt Day March & Gathering to affirm our commitment to raising awareness of the residential school experience as we focus on our hope for a better future. Let’s not forget the children but honour them together on September 30th.
